Description
The VanCool 170L is the largest fridge in the range: 113 L of refrigeration and 58 L of freezer space at -18 °C, 62 W at most and 35 dB in Night mode.

The 170L is 146 cm tall with its removable feet, 140 cm without. At the same width (52 cm), the VanCool 140L is lower; the VanCool 150L Slim is narrower (41 cm), with a smaller freezer (15 L).

Q: Does the fridge run on 230V?
A: Not directly: it is powered by 12V or 24V. On mains power (campsite, home), connect it via the 230V-12V adapter.
Q: Can it replace my old fridge?
A: Yes, it replaces Thetford, Dometic or Vitrifrigo fridges of similar dimensions. Check that the recess can take 146 × 52 × 49 cm (140 cm tall without the feet). It connects directly to 12V, with no gas.
Q: How much does it draw from the battery?
A: Around 30 W on average, 62 W at most. Actual consumption depends on the outside temperature, the recess ventilation and how often the door is opened.
Q: 170L or 150L Slim?
A: The 170L offers a 58 L freezer but needs 52 cm of width. The VanCool 150L Slim fits in 41 cm of width, with 135 L of refrigeration and 15 L of freezer space.
Q: Is the fridge approved for use in vehicles?
A: Yes, it has ECE R10 approval (electromagnetic compatibility), and its certificate is accepted throughout Europe. The certificate is issued by TÜV.
