In short: a campervan fridge is chosen first by the cabinet dimensions (fridge width + 2 cm of ventilation on each side), then by volume according to the number of people and days of autonomy, and finally by the freezer. All our models are 12/24V compressor fridges, ECE R10 approved, 35 dB, with an average consumption of 25 to 62 W; mains power goes through a €49 adapter.

Measure the cabinet
Fridge width + 2 cm on each side, height and depth without feet. Without this ventilation, consumption rises and it cools less.
Plan the ventilation
An air inlet at the bottom and an outlet at the top at the back of the cabinet: the compressor releases its heat there.
Secure the fridge
Slide it into the cabinet and secure it with the side brackets or the front frame, screws into the furniture.
Wire in 12V
Two wires, + and −, on a dedicated fuse on the board. Cable gauge suited to the length to avoid voltage drop.
Set and let it cool
Switch on, set the temperature, allow a few hours to reach cold. On mains, use the 230V → 12V adapter.
Compressor, absorption or 3-way?
Absorption and 3-way fridges lose their cold as soon as it is hot or the vehicle is off-level, and need gas. A compressor holds −18 °C in 35 °C outside, works on a slope, and only draws power when it runs: 25 to 62 W on average depending on volume. To replace a 3-way fridge, our models match Thetford, Dometic and Vitrifrigo dimensions.

How much battery does a compressor fridge use?
Use the average consumption shown for each model: 30 W on average is about 2.5 A at 12V, or 60 Ah per 24 h. A 100 Ah lithium battery therefore lasts more than a day without recharging, and a 200 W solar panel covers a summer day. Cabinet ventilation and a 4–5 °C setting lower this figure.
Does it run on 230V?
All our fridges are native 12/24V. On mains, add the 180 W 230V → 12V adapter: it powers the fridge as soon as you are plugged in at the campsite, the battery takes over on the road.
I am replacing a Thetford or Dometic 3-way fridge. Does it fit?
The 90 L DCS matches the Dometic RC 10.4 and Thetford T2090 dimensions, the 105 L DCR the Dometic 110 CRX, the 140 L the Thetford N41xx and Dometic RM 8555, the 90 L RCN the Thetford, Dometic and Vitrifrigo uprights. Measure the cabinet, compare with the table, and send us a photo in case of doubt.
Is it noisy at night?
35 dB is the level of a whisper, and the compressor only runs in cycles. A ventilated cabinet reduces the cycles further.
Does the door open on the right side?
The hinge is reversible on every model except the 40 L compact. The SVR and the 140 L are ordered directly left or right.
What if I get the size wrong?
Return within 30 days as long as the fridge is not installed, in its packaging. And before ordering, a photo of the cabinet with its dimensions is enough for a technician to validate.
