For which conversion

The DCR50 is the compact yet complete option for conversions where space is limited but you don’t want to give up freezing. It is mainly aimed at:

• Vans and panel van conversions (L1H1, L1H2) where an 80–100 L fridge won’t fit
• Compact Motorhomes or boat cabins
• Light professional conversions where ECE R10 compliance is required
• Weekend + short trip configurations with occasional need for ice cubes or freezing

DCR50DA: Double Zone Advantages

DCR50DA (Double zone) — two zones with independent settings. You can set the refrigerator to +4 °C and the freezer to −18 °C separately, or convert the freezer into a second refrigeration zone when you don’t need freezing. This is the most versatile choice if your usage varies (long trips with frozen stock / weekends without freezing).

GMCC compressor and energy savings

Unlike classic compressors that run at full speed or stop, the latest generation GMCC continuously adjusts its speed based on pressure and cooling demand. Practically, on a van battery:

• Fewer current spikes at startup
• Reduced average consumption over 24 hours
• Quieter operation than a classic on/off compressor
• The Night Mode further reduces speed to drop noise from 39 dB to 35 dB — a truly noticeable difference when the fridge is next to the bed.

The micro-channel condenser completes the system: better heat dissipation, so less running time to maintain the set temperature, thus fewer Wh drawn from the battery.

Installation

The DCR50 installs as a built-in or freestanding fridge: allow sufficient ventilation around the condenser (at least 50 mm behind and on the sides for heat dissipation), a 12V or 24V supply from your leisure battery with an appropriate fuse, and secure the unit so it doesn’t move while driving. The reversible hinge lets you orient the door opening to match your kitchen layout.
