SHADE Window 280 x 380 - window for Campervan and Motorhome

The SHADE Top-hung window has rounded corners and dark-tinted double glazing, and is ECE R43 approved. It opens up to 70° and fits walls from 30 to 55 mm thick. Sold on its own with its aluminium mounting frame, without blind or fly screen.

Choose the right size

This window measures 280 × 380: this is the cut-out size, meaning an opening 280 mm wide and 380 mm high. This is the only measurement that determines compatibility with your vehicle. Other sizes are available on the SHADE Top-hung window, window-only product page.

Maximum recommended Cut-out dimensions by van (in mm)

* 450 mm on Master, Movano, NV400; 520 mm on Ducato, Jumper, Boxer, Sprinter, Crafter.

These values correspond to what the vehicle allows: the SHADE Top-hung window, window-only, is available up to 900 × 500.

Reinforcements vary depending on the year and model: mark the cut-out on your wall and check that no reinforcement, cable or conduit passes through it. If in doubt, send us a photo and we will confirm.

The outer frame extends 3 cm on each axis (overall dimensions: W + 3 cm × H + 3 cm).

What you will need

• 1 tube of Sikaflex 265 per window
• Wooden battens or a wooden frame at least 25 mm thick (recommended on panel vans)
• Jigsaw and drill/driver
• Materials to finish the inside of the cut-out, or an interior frame with blackout blind and fly screen

Allow approximately 1 hour for installation. Plan for two people to position the window in the cut-out and hold it during screwing.

Q: Is it compatible with curved van walls?
A: Yes. The reinforced aluminium inner frame adapts equally well to curved walls (vans) and flat walls (Motorhomes, caravans). The slight gap on a curved wall is filled with Sikaflex.

Q: Is it approved for road use?
A: Yes, ECE R43: installation permitted without manufacturer approval in Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Compliant with roadworthiness testing and VASP requirements.

Q: Can I add a blackout blind and fly screen later?
A: Yes. The interior frame with blackout blind and fly screen, in white or black, can be ordered separately. Check its product page to see whether your size is available, or contact us.
