Description
Our Pundmann Air 6 L water heater is specially designed to provide you with hot water when travelling in your van, motorhome or converted van. Combined with your Autoterm air heater, it lets you heat both your living space and your water.
How it works
The water heater uses the heat from the heater to warm the water. It is also possible to switch on the water heater without switching on the heater.
The water heater has two heating modes that you can use independently of each other: this is what makes it a self-sufficient water heater.
- Hot air from the heater: the heat from the air heater warms the water.
- Electric heating element (12, 24 or 230 V): at 12 V or 24 V, it can heat your water while your vehicle is running; at 230 V, it heats your water when you are connected to a mains hook-up point, at a campsite for example.
This water heater is compatible with the Autoterm Air 2D and Autoterm Air 4D air heaters.

Installation
Bleed the water heater to make sure there is no air left in the circuit. Install the water heater the right way round, with the valve facing down. Also, never switch on your water heater when it is empty!
Installation tip: you can install a Ø 60 mm Y bypass fitting for the Air 2D or a Ø 90 mm one for the Air 4D to divert the heater's hot air outside the vehicle in summer, when you do not need to heat the living space.

Important information
- You must have a pump (water pump unit) to use your water heater. If this pump delivers more than 2.3 bar, a pressure reducer will be required.
- Caution: the operating pressure for the water heater is 2.3 bar or less. Check the pump in your circuit and, if it is not suitable, fit a pressure reducer set to 2.3 bar.
- You must install a 90-60 mm adapter between your water heater and the heater if you have an Air 2D!
- The valve is supplied with the water heater.
