Why switch to 24V rather than 12V
At equal power, a 24V system draws half the current of a 12V one. Practically: cable gauge halved, line losses reduced, BMS less stressed, almost no heating. For setups with inverters over 2,000 W (induction, air conditioning, hairdryer, power tools), it’s the cleanest technical solution — and often the cheapest once cables, fuses, and accessories are included.
24V is also the standard on most boats and medium/large solar installations: direct compatibility with MPPT regulators, chargers, and 24V inverters from Victron, EcoFlow, Renogy.
Which model for which project
The 100Ah suits moderate setups: lighting, fridge, water pump, recharges, small inverter. Compact format, ideal as a replacement for an existing lead battery bank.
The 200Ah doubles capacity in a slightly larger format. It’s the right choice for Motorhomes in permanent use, inhabited boats, or any system with an inverter > 2,000 W that needs to run at full power for several hours.
Frequently asked questions
Can I replace my 24V lead batteries? Yes — standard M8/M6 terminals, dimensions close to an equivalent lead battery. Check your charger’s charging voltage (28.4–29.2 V recommended) and disable desulfation mode if it exists.
Connecting multiple batteries in parallel? No limit on the BMS side (2S2NP supported). This is the classic way to increase capacity without changing voltage.
And in extreme cold? Discharge possible down to −20 °C. Charging is blocked by the BMS below 0 °C to protect the cells — normal behavior for any LiFePO4. For winter use, plan installation in an insulated compartment.
Real lifespan? Up to 6,000 cycles — at one full cycle per day, over 16 years of theoretical use.
