Sliding window SLIDE 500 x 500 - with window blind and mosquito net

The SLIDE sliding window has rounded corners and dark-tinted glazing, a black aluminium frame and a central lock, and is ECE R43 approved. It fits walls from 30 to 55 mm thick. Delivered complete: blackout blind, fly screen and aluminium mounting frame included.

Choosing the right size

This window measures 500 × 500: this is the cut-out size, meaning an opening 500 mm wide by 500 mm high. This is the only measurement that determines compatibility with your vehicle. Other dimensions are available on the SLIDE sliding window product page.

Recommended maximum Cut-out dimensions by van (in mm)

* 450 mm on Master, Movano, NV400; 520 mm on Ducato, Jumper, Boxer, Sprinter, Crafter.

These values correspond to what the vehicle allows: SLIDE is available up to 1000 × 500.

Reinforcements vary by year and model: mark the cut-out on your wall and check that no reinforcement, cable or conduit crosses it. If in doubt, send us a photo and we will confirm.

The outer frame extends 3 cm on each axis (overall dimensions: W + 3 cm × H + 3 cm).

💡 Good to know: the finished interior frame is surface-mounted on the wall. It covers the edges of the cut-out without requiring additional space.

What you will need

• 1 tube of Sikaflex 265 per window
• Wooden battens or a wooden frame at least 25 mm thick (recommended for panel vans with sheet-metal walls)
• Jigsaw and drill driver

Allow approximately 1 hour for installation. Have two people available to position the window in the cut-out and hold it in place while screwing.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is it compatible with curved van walls?
A: Yes. The reinforced aluminium inner frame adapts equally well to curved walls (vans) and flat walls (Motorhomes, caravans). The slight gap on a curved wall is filled with Sikaflex.

Q: Is it approved for road use?
A: Yes, ECE R43: installation is authorised without manufacturer approval in Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. It complies with roadworthiness inspections and VASP requirements.

Q: Can I replace an existing window?
A: Yes, if the existing cut-out matches one of our dimensions. Measure the cut-out in the wall, not the visible frame of the old window. Pay attention to the corners: SLIDE has rounded corners. For a square-cornered cut-out, choose SQUARE SLIDE.
