SHADE Window 500 x 450 - window for Campervan and Motorhome

The SHADE Top-hung window has rounded corners and dark-tinted double glazing, and is ECE R43 approved. It opens up to 70° and fits walls from 30 to 55 mm thick. Sold on its own with its aluminium mounting frame, without blind or fly screen.

Choose the right size

This Window measures 500 × 450: these are the cut-out dimensions, meaning an opening 500 mm wide by 450 mm high. This is the only measurement that determines compatibility with your vehicle. Other sizes are available on the SHADE Top-hung window - window alone product page.

Maximum recommended Cut-out dimensions by Van (in mm)

* 450 mm on Master, Movano, NV400; 520 mm on Ducato, Jumper, Boxer, Sprinter, Crafter.

These values correspond to what the vehicle allows: the SHADE Top-hung window - window alone is available up to 900 × 500.

Reinforcements vary according to the year and model: mark the cut-out on your wall and check that no reinforcement, cable or conduit crosses it. If in doubt, send us a photo and we will confirm.

The outer frame extends 3 cm along each axis (overall dimensions: L + 3 cm × H + 3 cm).

What you will need

• 1 tube of Sikaflex 265 per window
• Wooden battens or a frame at least 25 mm thick (recommended for panel vans)
• Jigsaw and drill driver
• Materials to finish the inside of the cut-out, or an interior frame with blackout blind and fly screen

Allow approximately 1 hour for installation. Have two people available to position the window in the cut-out and hold it while screwing.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is it compatible with curved van walls?
A: Yes. The reinforced aluminium counter-frame adapts equally well to curved walls (vans) and flat walls (Motorhomes, caravans). The small gap on a curved wall is filled with Sikaflex.

Q: Is it approved for road use?
A: Yes, ECE R43: installation permitted without manufacturer approval in Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Compliant with roadworthiness inspections and VASP requirements.

Q: Can I add a blackout blind and fly screen later?
A: Yes. The interior frame with blackout blind and fly screen, in white or black, can be ordered separately. Check its product page to see whether your size is available, or contact us.
