How it works

The product consists of two stacked parts that fit together. The upper part contains the bowl and the Fresh water tank that supplies the manual flush. The lower part is the waste water tank. Between the two, a rotating PBT blade and a seal completely isolate the waste compartment — this is what sets it apart from entry-level portable toilets where odors come back after the first use.

To empty: separate the two parts (the upper half lifts), carry the lower part to the service point, point the spout upwards, unscrew the cap, tip to empty, rinse with clean water, then screw the cap back on. With a standard decomposition additive (blue sanitary liquid), a full cleaning every 5 days is enough for normal use.

Which capacity to choose

The 12L is the compact format: ideal for weekends, couples, light panel van conversions, and tight spaces under a bench or in a trunk. Lighter to carry when emptying.

The 16L takes up a bit more space but offers more days of autonomy between emptyings — it’s the right choice for extended stays, families, or if you simply don’t want to think about it every 5 days.

Portable Freucamp vs fixed cassette toilet

Compatible with a Porta Potti? Yes — very similar format and use to a Thetford Porta Potti. Same sanitary additives (blue liquid for the waste tank, pink liquid for the fresh water tank).

And the odors? The PBT seal is the key part. As long as it is clean and you use a decomposition additive, the waste tank remains airtight between emptyings.

Without additive? Possible for very short term, but not recommended: without decomposition liquid, odors and deposits build up quickly.
